Rachael Ludwig – Violin, Viola

A member of The Philly Pops first violin section, Rachael Ludwig enjoys an active performing and teaching career. She has performed with ensembles such as the Buffalo Philharmonic, Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, and Delaware Symphony. An avid traveler, Rachael has performed as a guest violinist with the Orlando Philharmonic, Wheeling Symphony, West Virginia Symphony, Santa Fe Symphony, Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra, and New Symphony Orchestra in Sofia, Bulgaria. As a soloist and chamber musician, Rachael has appeared with husband Michael Ludwig performing the Bach Double Violin Concerto with the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, Roxborough Orchestra, and Western NY Chamber Orchestra, and Rachael and Michael perform recitals as a violin duo in the greater Philadelphia area. Rachael has performed recitals in Pittsburgh, Santa Fe, and numerous venues in South Florida, appeared as soloist with the Carnegie Mellon Baroque Ensemble with concerts broadcast live on WQED, and was a winner of the 2007 Silberman Chamber Music Competition. Rachael has attended and performed with prestigious summer festivals such as the National Repertory Orchestra, the Beverly Hills International Music Festival, the International Music Academy of Montpellier, France, and the Indiana University String Academy. She also performs annually with the Salute to Vienna Orchestra touring the North East including concerts at Lincoln Center, and has performed with pop icons Rod Stewart and Peter Gabriel. Rachael currently maintains an active teaching studio in South Jersey, and is General Manager and on the Board of Directors of The Roxborough Orchestra. Rachael holds Master of Music and Bachelor of Music Degrees in Violin Performance from Carnegie Mellon University and resides in Cherry Hill, NJ with her husband, violinist Michael Ludwig and son Jacob.
