Kimberly Trolier – Flute & Piccolo
Kimberly Trolier is a flutist and piccoloist with the Philadelphia Opera Orchestra, the Academy of Vocal Arts Orchestra and Orchestra 2001. She performs frequently with the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, the Delaware Symphony, the Bay Atlantic Symphony, the Reading Symphony, and the Philly Pops. She has presented recitals and concerts internationally, in tours of China, South Korea, Finland and Moscow. She has performed as a soloist with Symphony in C, in Bach’s B Minor Suite and the Missouri Chamber Orchestra, in Cimarossa’s Concerto for Two Flutes.
Dr. Trolier is committed to music education and serves on the faculty of Franklin and Marshall College and the Bryn Mawr Conservatory. Many of her students have participated in the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, The Philadelphia Sinfonia, the Delaware County Youth Orchestra, and District, Regional, and State Band and Orchestra festivals.
She received her Doctoral of Musical Arts Degree from Temple University, where she studied with Kazuo Tokito and David Cramer. She earned her Masters and Bachelor Degrees in Flute Performance from the Peabody Conservatory of Music as a student of Robert Willoughby and Timothy Day. She has studied further with Erica Peel, Jeffrey Khaner and Keith Underwood.
