Philadelphia-born artist Andy Kahn is a pianist/vocalist who performs at jazz festivals, concert halls, theaters, nightclubs, schools and on cruise ships. He has been featured at venues such as World Café Live, Chris’ Jazz Cafe, Metropolitan Room, Resorts Casino Hotel, Kitano NYC and 54 Below. Andy is “Artist-in-Residence” for Jacobs Music Company and a Steinway Spirio Artist for Steinway & Sons. His live concerts are flavored with personal jazz interpretations of 20th century popular song standards. Andy has achieved international notoriety as a gifted pianist, composer, arranger, record producer and recording engineer. His Queen Village Recording Studios in Philadelphia was responsible for creating many hit records in the 1970s. He wrote, arranged and produced the Number 1 dance hit, “Hot Shot” by Philadelphia vocalist Karen Young—earning his first gold record in 1978. Andy Kahn continues to write, perform, teach private students and lecture on jazz and popular standards—America’s unique contribution to music and the arts. Andy’s musical memoir “The HOT SHOT Heard ‘Round The World”—released in 2019 and published by BearManor Media— is available in Paperback, Hardcover, Digital Download and Audiobook formats. His private teaching studio “Homing It @ The Malibu” in Atlantic City is outfitted with multiple acoustic and digital pianos.
