This Thursday August 6th join our brothers and sisters in IATSE and members of the hospitality industry at the Academy of Music steps at Broad & Locust for the March for Awareness.
Music will begin at 11am with Local 77 musicians and the rally begins at 12pm.
Everyone is invited to rally and bring awareness for extending the CARES Act unemployment insurance provisions and assistance provisions needed by workers in the upcoming stimulus package.
A short program will begin in front of one of our busiest theaters, the Academy of Music. This program will be followed by a march to City Hall and conclude with a stop at the heart of the hospitality industry at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
Entertainment workers were hit first and the hardest. Workers in the entertainment industry are likely to be out of work the longest due to the nature of the COVID-19 Virus.
