Opportunities for Students!
Dear Members,
If you have any students that are interested in auditioning for youth programs in our city, please see the matrials below. Feel free to forward this announcement along.
Play On Philly is accepting applications for the Marian Anderson Young Artist Program! This tuition-free program honors world-renowned contralto Marian Anderson’s legacy of mentorship and advocacy for young musicians who did not have access to training or performance opportunities. Students in rising 4th-11th grade who live or go to school in Philadelphia and have shown strong interest in musical performance in classical or jazz are eligible to apply.
Students in this program, known as Anderson Artists, will be supported through their musical studies via free private lessons, individual advisement, solo and ensemble experience, leadership opportunities and more! The deadline to apply is April 20, 2022. Apply at www.playonphilly.org/andersonartists

Please find more information on our website at https://primaverafund.org.
THE PMAY ARTISTS’ INITIATIVE supports 5th-12th graders from communities that are underrepresented on the symphony orchestra stage and those who encounter hardships to realize their musical potential and ultimately pursue their dream of becoming professional classical musicians. The PMAY Artists’ Initiative will offer students financial support to make lessons, music classes, youth orchestra participation, and summer music camps affordable. Students will be able to attend free college and career preparation workshops, and PMAY teachers and staff will work with each family to make sure each musician has a strong plan to be accepted into a music conservatory, college or university music school majoring in music.
