Dear Brothers & Sisters,
We are forwarding along an invitation from Tony D’Amico, President of the Theater Musicians Association. Please see below.
You are invited to attend the Theatre Musicians Association’s 25th annual conference, which will be held online via Zoom on August 17th and 18th. Philadelphia is a vibrant theatre town, and I would be thrilled to see as many of you attend this conference as possible – even if you are currently not a TMA member. If you’re interested in joining the Philadelphia Chapter of TMA, please contact Local 77 Executive Board member Robert Suttmann here.
We have put together a terrific group of addresses and presentations this year, including a diversity round table led by Lovie Smith- Wright and Alfonso Pollard, a presentation by Dr. Don Greene highlighting helpful coping techniques for use during this shut down, and a talk by otolaryngologist/bassoonist Dr. Adam Schwalje. Also, as with our previous conferences, there will be the always interesting and thought-provoking addresses by AFM President Ray Hair, Secretary/Treasurer Jay Blumenthal, and Director of Theatre Touring and Booking Tino Gagliardi, among others.
A draft agenda is attached for you to peruse.
In order for you to attend the online conference, you will need to register, using this link. The day before each conference session, you will receive an email with a link and instructions on how to sign into the following day’s Zoom meeting.
We hope all of you are able to attend. If there are any questions, please contact the Local 77 office.
In Solidarity,
The Local 77 Executive Board
